Privacy Policy

SBS Blueprint for YouTube. Extension 1.5.0. Wording of September 19, 2026.

1. What the extension is

It adds an outlier score to thumbnails on YouTube, a Grab button that downloads a thumbnail and, with an SBS Blueprint key, Save and Track channel, which file videos and channels into your SBS Blueprint workspace. It runs on youtube.com and on the SBS Blueprint web app, at sbsmediagroup.com/blueprint or the older app.sbs-blueprint.workers.dev address, nowhere else.

2. What it reads on YouTube, on your own computer

To score a video the extension reads what YouTube already shows on the page: the title, the view count, how long ago it was published, the channel name and its link. To work out the channel's median it requests the channel's public videos page from youtube.com, the same page you would see by clicking the channel, and keeps the median, the subscriber count and the number of uploads it counted for twelve hours in the extension's own storage. All of this happens in your browser. Nothing about the pages you look at is sent to SBS Media.

3. What Grab does

Grab downloads the video's thumbnail from YouTube's image host (i.ytimg.com), draws a grey bar under it with the channel name and the view count, and saves the file to your computer. Nothing is sent anywhere. Grab needs no account.

4. What is sent, and when

Only once you have signed in with an SBS Blueprint key:

• Sign in. Your email address and password are sent once, over HTTPS, to sbsmediagroup.com/blueprint (or app.sbs-blueprint.workers.dev on an older install) to sign you in. The server checks them and returns a token; from then on the extension keeps only that token, locally in the browser, along with your name and email address. The extension never keeps your password and never sends it again.
• Staying signed in. After sign-in, the extension does not send your key again. It sends the stored token to that same address about every six hours, to confirm the account is still active, and again each time you open the Save picker, to fetch the names of your swipe folders and title groups.
• Save. The video id, title, channel name and link, the video link, the view count, views per day, the outlier score, the "published ago" text and the folder and group you chose. No image file is uploaded; the app shows YouTube's thumbnail by its address. If SBS Blueprint cannot be reached, the save waits in the extension's storage, with a copy of the thumbnail image, and is handed to the app the next time it is open in the same browser.
• Track channel. The channel's link and name. SBS Blueprint then reads that channel's public uploads nightly to keep its median.
• Website time. Only with the opt-in in section 6.

Without a key the extension makes one request a day to SBS Blueprint for the current price and links shown in the popup. It carries no account and nothing about your browsing. Like any web request it reaches the server with your IP address; the app keeps no log of who asked.

5. What is stored

In your browser, in the extension's storage (gone when you remove the extension):

• the account token, with the account's name and email address, once signed in;
• the names of your swipe folders and title groups, and your last picker choice;
• the on/off switches for the badges and for website time, and the date you hid the notice;
• a twelve-hour cache of channel medians;
• saves waiting to reach the account, and website visits waiting to be sent;
• the price and links shown in the popup.

On SBS Blueprint, which runs on Cloudflare (Workers and D1) and is operated by SBS Media LLC:

• a hash of the token, not the token itself, the account it belongs to, the browser's name (user agent string) and when it was created and last used;
• the videos you save and the channels you track, in your workspace;
• one audit line per connection, save and tracked channel, with the account and the time;
• website visits, only with the opt-in.

Who can see it: you, and the SBS Media staff who administer SBS Blueprint, for support and to run the service. It is not sold, not shared with anyone else and not used for advertising.

6. Website time, the opt-in

"Track time on websites" in the popup is off until you switch it on, and switching it on asks the browser for the tabs permission. When on, the extension notes the site name (youtube.com, for example) and the page title of the tab in front, with the start and end time, while a browser window is focused and you are active. After five minutes without input it stops counting, and visits shorter than ten seconds are dropped. Every five minutes the queue is sent to your SBS Blueprint account, where it shows on the Time page next to the desktop app's usage; for staff accounts only time while clocked in is counted. Switch it off and the tabs permission is released, the open visit is discarded and nothing more is recorded. Page content, addresses beyond the site name and anything you type are never read.

7. The permissions it asks for

• storage: the items in section 5, in your browser.
• idle: to pause website time after five minutes away from the keyboard.
• alarms: to refresh the folder and group lists every fifteen minutes while signed in, and to send website time every five minutes when it is on.
• tabs (optional, asked for only when you switch on website time): the site name and title of the tab in front.
• youtube.com, i.ytimg.com, sbsmediagroup.com and app.sbs-blueprint.workers.dev: the sites it talks to, for the reasons above.

8. Disconnect and delete

• Disconnect this browser, in the popup: revokes the token on SBS Blueprint and removes it from the browser.
• Remove the extension: clears everything it stored in the browser.
• Saved videos and tracked channels: delete them in SBS Blueprint (Swipefiles, Title Formats, Outliers), or ask us.
• Delete the account and everything in it: email seven@stratsbyseven.com from the account's address. It is done within 30 days and confirmed by email.

9. Changes and contact

The extension is a work tool and is not directed at children. When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it, and a change that matters is noted in the store listing.

In one sentence

Without a key the extension talks to YouTube and sends nothing about you to SBS Media; with a key, only what you choose to save or track, and your website time if you switch it on, goes to your own SBS Blueprint workspace. Nothing is sold, shared or used for ads.
